Proposed UTAS Development - 83 Melville Street, Hobart (The Forestry Building)
HNH has reviewed the UTas Development Application for 83 Melville Street, and has the following comments:
- the proposal requires no discretion from Council as it meets all the acceptable solutions for a building in this area;
- the proposal fits well within the height limits;
- the proposal retains the heritage frontages on Melville St;
- the proposal will enhance the old forestry glazed dome forecourt; and
- the proposal includes extra lighting to make the area safer for pedestrians.
HNH cannot find a reason to object to this development.
